L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (LTMRHL) in association with The Atlanta Foundation (TAF) is supporting Chanda Nayak Tanda (CNN Tanda) Elementary School, near 100 ft. road, Ayyappa Society Colony, Madhapur. CNN Tanda has about 250 kids studying from Class I – Class V. This is a commitment of LTMRHL towards sustainability and children’s education.
LTMRHL and TAF are partnering to implement The Learnasium Programme at CNN Tanda Government School for the benefit of underprivileged children.

As a part of the CSR initiative, Mr. V.B. Gadgil, Chief Executive & Managing Director, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited, distributed school bags and books to 600 school children from 1st to 5th standard in three Government schools. The schools were Central Primary School, Nagole, Central Primary Boys School, Uppal and Government Primary School, Ambedkar Nagar in Hyderabad.
Mr. Gadgil in his address stated that education is a potent enabler for inclusive and sustained growth and L&T Metro Rail believes that education is the foundation on which progress depends. This is an initiative focused on those sections of society which need it the most.
L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited organised its first Blood Donation Camp in Hyderabad on 16 June 2011

Mr. V.B. Gadgil, Chief Executive and Managing Director, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) limited inaugurated the first blood donation camp organised by L&T Metro Rail on Thursday, 16 June 2011 in Cyber Towers, HITEC City, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
L&T Metro Rail organised this blood donation camp in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Andhra Pradesh Branch. 205 professionals from L&T group companies and other companies located in Cyber Towers and Cyber Gateway donated blood for children suffering from Thalassemia.
Addressing the blood donors, Mr. Gadgil highlighted the efforts of L&T in organising blood donation camps across the country and stated that this initiative was taken up as a CSR activity of L&T Metro Rail. "To see so many professionals donate blood voluntarily speaks of their generosity towards children suffering from Thalassemia," he added.
Mr. B.V. Subba Rao, Head - Administration & Corporate Relations, L&T Metro Rail, thanked each and every person who donated blood for being an abundance of hope, courage and support to all children suffering from Thalassemia. He added that this is the first CSR initiative of L&T Metro Rail and thanked all the L&T Group companies and other corporates for their active and voluntary participation.
