Mr. Dip Kishore Sen is Whole-time Director and Senior Executive Vice President (Development Projects), L&T. He is Chairman on the board of Nabha Power Limited, Power Development Limited, L&T Special Steels & Heavy Forgings Private Limited (LTSSHF), L&T Infrastructure Engineering Company, L&T Oman LLC, L&T Aviation Services Private Limited and Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI). He is Director on the board of L&T Qatar LLC, Raykal Aluminum Company Private Limited. He is also Managing Director for L&T Infrastructure Development Projects Ltd.(L&T IDPL) He is also responsible for the Minerals & Metals (M&M) Strategic Business Group of L&T. 

A Civil Engineering graduate from IIT Kharagpur and a Post Graduate in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, prior to joining L&T, Mr. Sen worked for 12 years with reputed companies like M/s. Tata Steel, Jamshedpur, M/s. Development Consultants, Kolkata and worked in a turnkey EPC Transmission line project in Malaysia for M/s HGEC, India in the beginning of his career. 

Mr. Sen joined L&T in 1989 as Sr. Manager (Civil & Structural Design) in EDRC Kolkata and subsequently headed various portfolios like Head (Civil & Structural Design) EDRC Kolkata, Project Manager - Safal F&V Auction Market Project, Bangalore, Sector Project Manager (B&F) Kolkata Region, Regional Manager – Mumbai, Project Director Mumbai International Airport & Head - Transportation Infrastructure (TI). His uniqueness is in his versatility of having worked across domains like Design & Engineering, Business Development, Tendering and hardcore construction.

His role as Project Director of the highly complex, mega Mumbai International Airport project from 2007 to 2011, was most notable in his career growth as he oversaw its most critical phase and was chiefly instrumental in paving the way to deliver a world-class airport in time.

Mr. Sen took over as Senior Vice President and Head -Transportation Infrastructure business in 2011 to spearhead the organization’s efforts in the realms of roads, highways, elevated corridors and railways. Under his leadership, the business grew consistently as TI completed several high value projects both in India and overseas. In the domestic road sector, TI established its dominance by securing major projects like the Delhi Agra, Unnao Lucknow Expressway, Dholera SIR, Dwarka Expressway, Delhi Airport, Bangalore International Airport, Kannur International Airport, Mumbai Nagpur Expressway, Mumbai Vadodara Expressway, Delhi Vadodara Expressway, Navi Mumbai International Airport etc. 

Under his leadership, several major breakthroughs were achieved in the Railways sector by securing several prestigious high value EPC Rail projects of Trackwork & Electrification of the Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor projects, light rail transit project in Mauritius & metro project (Electrical & Mechanical package) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

He has played a very prominent role in establishing L&T in the GCC Countries by securing several landmark projects, notable among which are the Mafraq - Ghweifat Road Project, the Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Roads & Transport Authority(RTA) projects of R1028 & R1048 package 1 & 5 in UAE, the Al Wakrah Road Project & LRDP Pkg 4 in Qatar, Batinah & Bid Bid Sur Road Projects in Oman. Under his leadership, L&T bagged its first Railways job in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and secured many urban infra development projects in Qatar, Oman & UAE.  He played a key role in divestment of Singoli Bhatwari Hydro Power Plant.

Apart from his considerable professional credentials, he is also a member of the curriculum advisory committee of Post Graduate course in Infrastructure, IIT Kharagpur and the Infrastructure Post Graduate course of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

He has been associated with various industry organizations like the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), National Highways Builder’s Federation (NHBF), First Construction Council (FCC) & Construction Federation of India (CFI). He is also the Chairman in National Council on Roads, Highways & Transportation, ASSOCHAM.
